Service Description
If you are purchasing a new property or own an existing property, it is vital that you are aware of the presence of Asbestos.
Asbestos can be deadly to you, your family/tenants/employees/clients.
Big Bass inspectors are licensed and qualified to identify and report asbestos findings. We use the qualitative identification of asbestos in bulk samples method, found under AS4964-2004.
It is of the upmost importance to us that we follow WorkSafe standard operating procedures during all asbestos inspections.
Your inspection will include:
- External down pipes, gutters and vent pipes
- All wall linings
- Bathrooms, kitchens and laundries
- External and Internal corner moulds and cover strips
- Ceiling insulations
- Electrical power boxes
- Roofing sheets and roof tiles
Big Bass can also help facilitate asbestos lab testing.
Big Bass can carry out both a stand alone asbestos inspection as well as a pre purchase asbestos inspection (carried out at the same time as a Pre Purchase Building Inspection).
- A Stand Alone inspection will cost $450
- A Pre-Purchase asbestos inspection (completed while undertaking a pre-purchase building inspection) will cost $450
